Maly Theatre Branch

The branch of the State Academic Maly Theatre of Russia in Kogalym was built in the framework of a five-party agreement between the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Academic Maly Theatre of Russia, the Government of the Khanty-Mansi autonomous okrug - Ugra, «LUKOIL» Company and Kogalym Administration. The basis for the branch was the building of the leisure complex «Yantar», the reconstruction lasted about two years. The architectural appearance and interior decoration of the theater almost completely repeat the view of the building of the Maly Theater in Moscow. The hall has a capacity of 300 seats, the stage meets all modern professional requirements. The equipment of the new branch makes it possible to stage performances of the Maly Theater on the same technical level as on the main stage in Moscow. Kogalym branch is the first branch of the State Academic Maly Theatre of Russia outside Moscow.
